How to stay active as it cools off!
Finding things to do indoors can be a struggle as it cools off. Dr. Ryan and I try our best to stay active as the winter approaches. Exercise is the cheapest and easiest mood booster on the market. Exercise releases Dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is released when you experience joy or pleasure. Increasing Dopamine production is at the core of all anti-depression drugs. Exercise is a natural anti-depressant. The days are still nice. Going for an evening walk to look at the pretty leaves is a must, because they don’t stay this pretty for long.
If you have to time to take a hike up to the North Shore I would recommend it! We took a camping trip to see the leaves, and it was gorgeous. The peacefulness of the outdoors is a nice weekend recharge for anyone. Breathing in the crisp cool air and getting our heart rate up as we hiked around helps set the tone for the whole week.
